The Mad Farmer Revolution Takes Gold
Mike's setting of this Wendell Berry poem--which tells of a farmer who goes crazy, plows the town (including the parson's wife), and unites realms of earth and spirit--won first prize at the San Francisco Conservatory Art Song Competition on March 15, 2007. Hear the winning performance by Brittany Hicks, soprano, and Carl Pantle, piano.
